CASTING COMPETITION 2024

Congratulations to the winners!

Thank you to all those that participated in our UEFA EURO 2024 Casting Competition.

The creativity and skills shown were outstanding, making it very difficult to choose the winners.

1st Prize Winner

The Cast Room team at Yeovil Hospital won first 1st prize with their creation of a British Bulldog and a Scottish Terrier. The detail on these creations was truly amazing, complete with flag dog collars, clothes, a football and even a replica cup. Wow! Well done to the entire team. The Essity Account Manager was thrilled to present them with a life size skeleton for their cast room, as first place winners.

2nd Prize Winner

Who knew there was so much you could make out of casting materials! This Royal Derby Hand Therapy Unit certainly deserve to be holding a cup. As 2nd place winners they received the joint model set which they are going to make good use of in their clinics. Well done!

3rd Prize Winners

It was so difficult to judge the third place winner that we actually have two winning teams. These fantastic bag pipes from the Cast Room at the Monklands Hospital secured them 3rd place along with the foxglove plant from the A&E and OPD teams at the Lorn and Islands Hospital. We really liked the use of casting materials on the pipes and the really different design of the lovely foxglove. The teams are now in receipt of the anatomy poster bundle and we're sure they'll be on display in their cast rooms very soon. Congratulations!

Thank you so much to all the teams that entered. We were thrilled with the response to this competition and really appreciate you sharing your skills with us. We understand you had fun in creating your entries too which is great to hear. Here's a few more photos of some of the entries we received. Yes, those are clogs and tulips!
