CAST OFF COMPETITION 2024

Congratulations to the winners!

Thank you to all those that participated in our Bonfire Night Themed Cast Off Competition.

We were overwhelmed with the amount of creativity and effort that went into the competition entries. You really showcased your skills, and we can see how much fun you had doing this. The high quality of the entries made it very difficult though for us to choose the winners!

1st Prize Winner

The Hand Therapy Department at The Royal Derby Hospital won first 1st prize with their creation of Guy Fawkes in front of the Houses of Parliament. The team really took the theme on board and applied a very artistic, and skilled, interpretation - complete with a stunning backdrop. Congratulations to the Hand Therapy team! The Essity Account Manager will be presenting the team with their winning prize of a life size skeleton.

2nd Prize Winner

Surely this can't be made from cast materials we asked ourselves. But yes, it is! The Outpatients team at Loughborough Hospital produced an amazing entry to win 2nd place. They will receive a joint model set. Well done!

3rd Prize Winners

We found ourselves in the position of it being too difficult to decide on just one 3rd place winner, so we have two winning teams. I'm sure you can see why!

The Cast Room team at the Jersey General Hospital secured 3rd place for with their amazing bonfire scene. And the Cast Room at Ayr Hospital are also joint third place winners with their wonderful bonfire scene complete with a cat and spider!

The teams will soon be in receipt of their anatomy poster bundle and we're sure they'll be on display in their cast rooms very soon. Congratulations!

Thank you so much to all the teams that entered. We were thrilled with the response to this competition and really appreciate you sharing your skills with us. You amaze us with how you use casting materials in such different ways. Here's a few more photos of some of the entries we received.
